20 July 2026, London: Travalyst, the not-for-profit coalition of some of the biggest names in travel and technology, founded by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, welcomes the appointment of four new board members.
Eva Barboni, Executive Director of Enterprise Britain; Prof. Graham Miller, Rodrigo Guimãraes Professor of Sustainable Business at Nova School of Business and Economics; Liz Ortiguera, Managing Director of Bridge XP Advisory; and R. Todd Ruppert, Founder and CEO of Ruppert International, have just joined the Travalyst Board, bringing a wealth of expertise from across business, sustainability and travel. They join an existing board that includes, amongst others, Sally Davey, former Travalyst CEO.

Alongside these appointments, Travalyst bids farewell to two of its original board members. Clea Kaske-Kuck: Director of Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and Dr. Sally Uren: Chief Executive, Forum for the Future both step down from the Travalyst Board after three years of service.
Throughout their tenure, Kaske-Kuck and Uren have provided great insight, guidance and leadership as Travalyst has continued to grow its global coalition and advance its mission. Uren originally joined Travalyst as Chair of the Independent Advisory Group in 2019 and later served as interim Chair of the Board in 2024, supporting the organisation’s transition to a larger startup. Travalyst extends its sincere thanks to both Kaske-Kuck and Uren for their contributions.
Today’s announcement follows the publication of Travalyst’s latest Progress Report during London Climate Action Week. The report outlines key work undertaken by the Travalyst Coalition in 2025, including the Data Hub, the Certifications initiative, progression of the Travel Impact Model, and key moments of regulatory and legislative engagement with the EU Parliament and at COP30, amongst others.

About Eva Barboni, Executive Director, Enterprise Britain
Eva Barboni has built a 20-year career at the intersection of policy, communications, and stakeholder engagement. She has a track record of changing public narratives and securing tangible policy outcomes on complex and rapidly evolving issues.
Barboni started her career working on high-profile political campaigns in the United States, beginning with Howard Dean’s historic run for the presidency in 2003-2004. She then worked on political campaigns in the UK and around the world, securing victories for candidates in mayoral, presidential, and parliamentary elections.
She has since taken her global campaigning experience and applied it on behalf of a wide range of clients – from leading multinational corporations to large non-profits and philanthropic organisations. She has helped them effectively engage policymakers and other stakeholders and shift perceptions on the issues that matter most.
Barboni founded, scaled, and led the strategic communications consultancy Atalanta, which is ranked as a Top 5 ESG Consultancy by PR Week. After stepping down as CEO of Atalanta, Eva was appointed Executive Director of Enterprise Britain, a movement of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors who feel compelled to act now to build a better future for the UK. While she has stepped back from the day-to-day running of Atalanta, she continues to be involved as Chair of the Board.
She is an experienced facilitator and spokesperson, regularly speaking at events, engaging with the press, and authoring thought leadership.
About Prof. Graham Miller, Rodrigo Guimãraes Professor of Sustainable Business at Nova School of Business and Economics
Graham Miller is the Rodrigo Guimãraes Professor of Sustainable Business at Nova School of Business and Economics, Lisbon, and Academic Director of the Westmont Institute of Tourism and Hospitality.
Prior to this, Miller was the former Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Sustainability and an Executive Dean and Pro-Vice-Chancellor at the University of Surrey, UK, where he held responsibility for employability and embedding sustainability across every degree programme. During his tenure, he secured a commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030 that led to the development of a 12.2mw solar farm on campus.
Miller has more than 25 years’ experience developing sustainability indicators for tourism, starting with his PhD on indicators for sustainable tourism (1997-2000) and continuing through to his leadership of the European Tourism Indicator System for the European Commission.
Miller is consistently listed amongst the top 1% of global scientists and has been recognised by the Academy of Social Sciences for the impact of his research on society. Graham’s ability to balance academic rigour with industry needs is demonstrated by previous roles as lead judge for the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Tourism for Tomorrow Awards and co-editor of the Journal of Sustainable Tourism, the leading academic journal dedicated to the sustainability of the tourism industry.
Graham has previously served as the Non-Executive Chair of The Considerate Group and as an Education Advisory Group member for the British Council.
About Liz Ortiguera, MD of Bridge XP Advisory, former CEO of PATA
Liz Ortiguera brings over two decades of global ecosystem leadership to the Travalyst Board — spanning governments, multilateral institutions, civil society, and the private sector across six continents.
A scientist-engineer by training, Ortiguera began her career at Merck conducting pharmaceutical R&D before moving into commercial leadership at American Express, where she held roles across three divisions – Consumer Card, Merchant, and Travel – from leading Japan strategic planning and product line development to leading a $250M+ regional partner network across 28 Asia-Pacific markets. She then attended Stanford before moving into early-stage technology ventures – serving as founding GTM executive on the launch of a digital luxury SuperApp and expansion of a mobile-first EdTech platform.
She subsequently served as CEO of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) – leading 800+ member organizations across 90+ destinations through crisis recovery and strategic transformation – and as SVP and Managing Director Asia-Pacific at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), representing the sector at ministerial and multilateral forums including WEF, APEC, G20, and UNT. Liz is a recognized advocate
for responsible travel and innovation with experience at the intersection of technology and institutional governance.
A long-standing supporter of community development across Asia, she has actively volunteered and contributed to Gawad Kalinga Community Development in the Philippines and she currently serves on the Board for Sala Bai, a Cambodian charity hotel and restaurant school providing free vocational education to young people in extreme poverty. Liz is an alumna of Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, plus degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from The Cooper Union and New York University.
About R. Todd Ruppert, Founder and CEO of Ruppert International
R. Todd Ruppert is the founder and CEO of Ruppert International, a firm with diversified interests globally in various fields including education, financial services, disruptive technologies, media, arts & entertainment, and strategy consulting. He is chairman of RSR Partners, The World Trade Center Institute, and London’s Royal Parks Foundation (USA).
Ruppert serves on the boards of various for profit and non-for profit organisations around the globe including Shetland Space Centre, Space Phoenix Systems, the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ruppert is an advisor to a number of venture capital and private equity firms including Access Holdings, Altai Ventures, Antler, Balerion Space Ventures, BroadLight Capital, Launch Africa Ventures, Levare Ventures, Maryland Opportunity, Pact VC, and Samos Ventures, among others.
Todd has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He retired from T. Rowe Price, the global asset management firm with over $1.7 trillion under management, where he was CEO and president of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services, co-president, T. Rowe Price International, and a member of the operating steering committee of the T. Rowe Price Group. He also retired from Greenspring Associates, a $17 billion venture capital firm, where he was a venture partner.
